Jeannette aka Bernadette looks just like her banker sister Virginia Varela. Virginia testified that she used a large knife in her car to cut veggies. If that's true how do these people live with themselves?
In my opinion she perjured herself. I do not believe it was her knife, I feel she was covering for her sister so the prosecution couldn't charge Bernadette with first degree premeditated murder. If she was found guilty of that maybe she would still be in jail.
I truly believe she planned to kill Kirsten. And thought she would get away with it.

I feel for the victims but parents and I know it’s not a day that go by that they don’t think of their precious little girl. My hear go out to them. I heard it’s two sides to a story. This case ended a long time ago and both Bernadette and the Costas family are doing much better. You need to do other things rather than wasting time in being obsessed with this, get a life you twat.

Deletethank you for posting this. I remember watching this story on youtube, that is how i heard about it. I've never forgotten this case, and most likely never will. IT touched my heart, and i just feel for the victims family. EVen if Kirsten was mean, it was highschool, despite what others say, majority of girls in highschool are mean and catty, and it is all about popularity. She shouldnt have been killed, and I wish the killer could've seen that. Highschool isn't forever, its a short period in your life, so i wish she let her live. Kirsten would have been an amazing person. Even if she was "mean" in highschool doesnt mean she would have been mean in her adult lives. She would have been such a humble, compassionate person if she could have lived. I hope she is flying in heaven. Even if there is no heaven, I know she is at peace.
